Gets the current logical context named item, as String.

Parameters

item: Type: SystemString
Item name.
formatProvider: Type: SystemIFormatProvider
The IFormatProvider to use when converting a value to a string.

Return Value

Type: String
The value of item, if defined; otherwise Empty.

Remarks

If formatProvider is null and the value isn't a String already, this call locks the LogFactory for reading the DefaultCultureInfo needed for converting to String.
